China Town in Kobe

Chinese New Year From Feb 17-25
This was on Saturday the 24th.

Many people come to Kobe to celebrate Chinese New Year. There were many different foods stands and souvenir shops around this China Town, it was very crowded and loud, but it seemed that people were really having a great time eating all their traditional delicateses. The whole block aslso is surrounded buy many shops and Chinese Food Restaurants. They had the Drangon Dance twice a day, and it was farely difficult to get in front of the crowd to observe and take nice photos.

To get to Kobe from Hirakata City you have to take two trains and the whole trip takes about 1 1/2 hour, and it costs about 1,000 yen ($10).
